Nokia Lumia 1320 got Windows Phone 8.1 update (UK & India only)

Nokia Lumia 1320 Renish DartleEarly morning today, while trying snooze my mobile alarm for another half an hour ;) as usual, I saw an update notification peeking out in my Nokia Lumia 1320. Initially I thought it would be some update bug fix patch or something but that’s not the case this time. This one draws my attention and woken me up from my semi-sleep, Yes I really got excited :0 to see that the update is for Lumia Cyan – Windows 8.1!

Are you the owner of Nokia Lumia 1320?

My Screen with WP8.1

All you have to do is, just go to the “Settings“, scroll down until you see “Phone Update” and click on “Check for Update” button. Now it will download initial patch required for Lumia Cyan, it might take 10 to 15 minutes & a restart.

After the boot up it asks for the second patch of download/installation, only now the real update begins, make sure you have above 50% of battery and atleast 900 MB of free phone memory. If everything is fine, you are ready to Go!

Note: This might take 40 mins to 1 hour depends upon your network, so please check your battery backup to avoid OS crash!

Notification center, Apps to SD card, Personal start Screen, Swipe texting and many more – I’m gonna explore all this features today. But it would be more fun if I got Cortana too.

An article in says “The Windows Phone 8.1 update is one of the most highly anticipated releases this year in the smartphone world, in fact the update is so big for the platform that many are already considering it a game changer” read more.. regarding Nokia Lumia 1320 windows 8.1 update

Is this limited to some service provider, iam trying it on for last two days on my umia 1320, but the update isnt showing up.
    Iam on the developers preview.

      Hello Ss,
This is not limited to service provider.
Itseems like the issue is because you are already in developer preview and that’s the reason why you don’t see any notification. I guess Microsoft is working on it, so that you can expect a patch update soon. Else you can downgrade your OS and proceed as normal update. Just check this site, it might be helpful -> .
